SharedDays
Data Deletion
Last updated: 27 June 2026
You can delete your SharedDays account from inside the app. If you cannot sign in, you can request deletion by email.
Deleting your account removes your login, profile details, device records, private notification and email queues, settings, memberships, personal comments, and account-linked AI records where supported. Shared family records, profile pictures, and saved planner content may remain for other family members with your account identity removed where supported.
Delete Your Account In The App
- Open SharedDays and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Open the Account section.
- Type DELETE in the confirmation field.
- Choose Delete my account.
- Confirm the final prompt.
After the request succeeds, SharedDays signs you out, clears local app state, and removes the account from the authentication system. The deleted account cannot be used to sign in again.
Request Deletion Without App Access
If you cannot access the app, email support@shareddayscalendar.app from the email address on your SharedDays account and ask for account deletion.
Include the words "Account deletion request" in the subject line. We may ask you to verify that you control the account before processing the request. Do not send passwords, payment card numbers, government ID documents, or other sensitive information in your request.
What We Delete
When your account is deleted, SharedDays removes or clears account-specific records including:
- Your Supabase authentication account.
- Your SharedDays profile details, including email, display name, avatar, and last login information.
- Your family memberships.
- Your personal settings.
- Your push notification device records.
- Your queued private notification and agenda email records.
- Your event comments.
- Your user-specific event reminder entries.
- AI request logs, draft cache records, and Smart Add correction records that are tied to your profile where the database relationships support automatic removal or anonymisation.
Shared Family Records
SharedDays is a family planning app, so some records belong to a shared family space rather than only to one account. Shared calendar events, lists, chores, meal plans, preparation templates, notes, activity records, profile pictures, calendar subscriptions, imported calendar events, saved Smart Add drafts, and similar family records may remain available to other members where needed to preserve their household plans.
When shared records remain, SharedDays removes your account identity from those records where supported. For example, creator or updater fields may be cleared, and activity records may be changed to show that the account was deleted.
Photos, Profile Pictures, And AI Data
Profile pictures are shared family profile content. If a profile picture is attached to a family member profile that remains in a family space, it may continue to be visible to authorized family members unless it is replaced, removed, or the relevant family/member profile is deleted.
Photos and screenshots selected for Smart Add AI are processed to create draft planner content. SharedDays does not intentionally keep the original Smart Add image as a family record unless you separately upload it as a profile picture. Extracted event details, saved drafts, diagnostics, support records, and AI logs may remain as described in the Privacy Policy.
Third-party providers, app stores, email providers, push-notification services, AI providers, hosting providers, and backup systems may retain related records under their own policies or data-processing terms.
Families You Own
If you own a family space and there is another adult, carer, owner, or account member who can take over, SharedDays transfers ownership before removing your membership.
If you are the only real account owner and there is no replacement account member, SharedDays may delete that owner-only family space and its associated family data.
Information That May Be Retained
Some information may remain for a limited time or longer where necessary for legal, security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, AI cost and rate-limit controls, backup, accounting, dispute resolution, or service integrity reasons. Backup copies may take additional time to expire from backup systems.
If you purchased a paid feature through Apple or Google Play, those stores may retain their own purchase, billing, tax, refund, and account records according to their policies. Deleting your SharedDays account does not automatically cancel an app-store subscription; manage or cancel subscriptions through the relevant app store if needed.
Processing Time
In-app deletion is designed to process immediately after confirmation. Email requests are usually reviewed as soon as reasonably possible after we verify account ownership. Complex cases, ownership transfer questions, support follow-up, or legal requirements may take longer.
Before You Delete
- Deletion is intended to be permanent and cannot be undone.
- Other family members may lose access to information that only existed in an owner-only family space.
- Other family members may continue to see shared family records that remain in a family space after your account identity is removed.
- You should remove or edit shared family content before deletion if your role permits it and you do not want that content to remain for other family members.
